Biography:
Ray Mack was born with music in his blood; writing his first song on guitar, “Old Granddad”, at the age of three. At the age of 7, he began studying violin and piano in depth. By the age of 10 he had performed several of his own compositions in elementary school plays. Continuing his music education throughout High School, Ray played in the Symphony Orchestra culminating in a performance at Carnegie Hall. All the while developing his passion for Electronic Dance Music. Ray was inspired by music from FSOL, Armand Van Helden, Brian Eno, Cass & Slide, Bent, Art of Noise and Fatboy Slim to name a few.
For the past five years, Ray has booked a monthly radio show, “Functional Parts“, on Digitally Imported Radio (www.di.fm). Recently celebrating Episode 60, Ray has hosted an amazing variety of international superstar guest DJs and producers including; King Unique, Jaytech, Stel, Glenn Morrison, Roland Klinkenberg, Darin Epsilon, Snake Sedrick, Ben Brown, Amine Edge, Belocca and more.
Ray’s talents have earned him gigs at clubs all over the world, including The Standard Hotel (Downtown LA, USA) Circus (Hollywood, USA), Stadium (Jakarta, Indonesia), Babyface (Chong Qing, China), The Cabana Club (Hollywood), Liquid (San Diego, USA) and Embassy (Jakarta, Indonesia). Ray has opened for world renowned acts such as Sultan, BT, Solarstone, Anthony Pappa, Nosmo vs. Kris B., Victor Dinaire, Taylor and many more.
At the moment, Ray Mack‘s event company Storm Events is quickly gaining notoriety in Hollywood/Southern California. With a Storm record label in the works and a recent residency at The Standard Hotel, Storm is preparing for a bright future.
As a producer, composer and DJ, Ray Mack is becoming a recognized force in the dance scene.
